We begin this Season with the story that started it all - from our 1st Season: 
JUNE 23 - JUNE 27 & JUNE 30 - JULY 4, 2010
"CHARLOTTE'S WEB" is an endearing comedy with a powerful message. It is a story for ALL ages! In an ordinary barn, an ordinary pig meets an ordinary spider, and something extraordinary happens. It is a story of friendship with a motley crew of characters everyone will recognize. You'll meet the "Know it all," the "Odd-ball," the "Opportunist," the "Naive", and the "Wise" who all just happen to be 4-legged (or 8-legged) creatures! Wilbur is a shy and naive pig who finally makes a friend in Charlotte, the spider living in the corner of the barn doorway. When Wilbur learns that he's destined for the slaughterhouse before winter, Charlotte promises to save her friend. She spins a clever plan. "After all", says Charlotte, "If I can fool a bug, I can surely fool a man. People are not as smart as bugs." "Charlotte's Web" is one of the best stories ever written; since 1952 it has been translated and retold in 23 languages! This timeless tale of friendship will make you laugh, make you sigh and make you smile.

"STEEL MAGNOLIAS" serves up a slice of small town life that's as warm and sweet as apple pie! In the haven of Truvy's beauty salon in rural Louisiana, six very different women come together. They share their secrets and bare their souls; throwing in a whole lot of funny one-liners along the way for good measure! "Steel Magnolias" is alternately hilarious and touching. From weddings to babies to funerals, new beginnings to happy endings, the women at Truvy's weather every event in their lives with grace, determination - - and perfect hair! These characters are women we all know: our mothers, our daughters, our sisters, our friends. These women face their lives with courage, grace and humour. Beneath their manicured exterior lies the true mettle of these "Steel Magnolias!"
OCTOBER 14, 15, 16 & 17, 2010 The October show is a concert and meal.
Fall on the prairies is a magical time, so we're having a party! "Vickie Dyck and the Last Resort Band" share a concert filled with humor, stories, folk, country and old-tyme music. And because we've had so much fun inviting other musicians to join us, we're doing that, too! You'll experience a "chorus" of sounds, styles of music, and foods we serve! The year's collection of photographs is a reminder of the beauty that surrounds us; a fitting accompaniment as we celebrate the seasons of the calendar and the Seasons of Life.
DEC 2 - DEC 5, DEC 7 - DEC 12 & DEC 14 - 19, 2010 The Christmas show is presented as a part of a Dinner Theatre TUESDAYS TO SATURDAYS
SUNDAYS
"The Herdmans are the worst kids in the history of the world. They lie and steal and smoke cigars (even the girls)." Still, no one is prepared when the Herdmans invade church one Sunday - and decide to take over the annual Christmas Pageant! But the Pageant turns out to be full of surprises for everyone; starting with the Herdmans themselves. The Finale to our 20th Season is one of our favourites; outrageously funny AND wonderfully touching! |
